> When asked about whether or not she felt threatened by how well the aforementioned rising artists were doing compared to her, Eilish showed her support for them.
> “Are you kidding me?” she replied to the publication. “I’m so happy for these bitches. It’s a crazy world when you get to the level they’re experiencing right now, and they’re doing great. Fans are drawn to them because they’re f—ing awesome.”
The way things are going, I don’t think any pop star has any reason to feel threatened by Chappel Roan’s success.
Why should she feel threatened? Her name is not Taylor S.
I and plenty of other people are fans of ALL of them. Pop fandom is not a mutually exclusive thing.
The only female artist that feels threatened by other female artists is Taylor Swift. Too many remixes and rereleases that just so happen to drop at the exact same time as other females albums. You cannot convince me that shit isn’t intentional.
This narrative of pitting women artists against each other has to stop. The media should’ve stopped asking these types of questions a long time ago.
Charli has been on the charts since Billie was still in school. Lol
