  1. I knew I shouldn’t have mailed in that warranty card for my G-Shock watch in 1987

I don’t tend to follow much of the conversation when I see these, as it seems like it’s mostly focused on the security and privacy side of things. Has anyone done substantial research into the stock valuation side of these things and whether people are shorting the stock ahead of disclosures? It seems like a ransomware attack disclosure as the impetus for a stock price decline would allow someone to make a killing if they had advanced knowledge of the attack. At that point the data and the ransom are small potatoes, right? I guess it’s odd that I’ve not really seen this side of it discussed at all. But as I said, I rarely read these articles/comments anymore and just keep scrolling.

Looks like Casio’s data got a little too *time-sensitive*—hope they can *watch* their backs moving forward!

Wtf is happening with all of these sudden mass attacks? Just from today and the last few days there was a breach with Gmail and of course the entirety of the Internet Archive going down. Are these random or connected in some way?
