      What’s the difference between Kashubians and Poles? Is Kashubian a dialect of Polish or a separate language? If it’s a separate language, do Kashubians identify as Polish or as something distinct?

      It is always interesting to see these maps on how the Polish population was once distributed because it helps us understand how at the end of a war the real losers are the citizens.

      Germans living in these areas have either become Polish or have been forced to abandon their land.

      That of the Poles is one of the most obvious examples, but there are many others

      So Danzig was only 5-20% Polish? What were the ethnicities in the 19th century, was it almost exclusively German?
