      “The last time it did this was in 1946, so you might expect that it won’t again until 2026, two years from now.”

      Doesn’t seem to be overdue then.

      Yeah, I’m also going to be killed by the Subduction Zone earthquake and the Yellowstone Supervolcano we’re also “overdue” for.

      There have only been two prior explosions that were observed, so our estimate of the periodicity is based on just one and only one period.
