    From the article:

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Vatican on Oct. 11 for a meeting with Pope Francis, marking another step in his European tour.

Zelensky’s second private audience at the Vatican comes amid an uneasy atmosphere between the Holy See and Kyiv caused by some of the pope’s past [controversial remarks](https://kyivindependent.com/pope-francis-says-ukraine-should-have-courage-of-white-flag-to-negotiate-with-russia/) about Russia’s war in Ukraine.

During a meeting that lasted 35 minutes, the pope presented Ukraine’s head of state with a bronze bas-relief with a flower and an inscription, “peace is a fragile flower,” the [ANSA](https://www.ansa.it/sito/notizie/mondo/2024/10/11/zelensky-dona-al-papa-dipinto-sul-massacro-di-bucha_f7fa4979-f1c6-4934-b42f-6e916020fb82.html) news agency wrote.

In turn, Zelensky reportedly gave Pope Francis an oil painting named “The Bucha Massacre – the Story of Marichka.” [Bucha](https://kyivindependent.com/eugene-czolij-bucha-is-a-wake-up-call-for-more-effective-measures-to-support-ukraine/), a suburb northwest of Kyiv, was occupied by Russian troops shortly after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022 and saw some of Russia’s worst [atrocities against civilians](https://kyivindependent.com/sbu-russian-commander-who-ordered-killing-of-civilians-in-bucha-identified/) during the war.

The details of talks between Zelensky and the pope have not yet been made public.

  2. That was not just a satire in form of an oil painting; for, it was reality glaringly laughing at the face of the old pop too dreamy from the opium of disconnected theory.

  3. The balls on Zelensky. I love that dude wish we had more leaders like that in America. We have Trump instead.

It takes a comedian to show the seriousness of situations sometimes

  5. Before you give me the old “compromise a bit” story, please see the context of what you’re asking me to do

The pope is not going to like this. Facing facts is not one of the churches’ strong points. I love this act it shows real courage and let’s them know nothing will be forgotten or forgiven. We know what side this person of God stood, and it was not with the side of the righteous.

I hate how we give so much power to a religious group. They should have no say in any form of politics.

Imagine you’re visiting you friend internationally and he’s like, “oh, I got you a gift,” and you get excited and then he brings out a painting of the Khmer Rouge bashing baby’s skulls against trees.

I’m sure the Pope offered his thoughts and prayers, so that should fix everything.
