Die PC-Portierung von Red Dead Redemption wird fast so viel kosten wie ein brandneues Spiel

  1. Stop with these god damn useless remakes, no one wants them. We want original stuff and not this junk and live service games.

Including Undead Nightmare in that package is noice. It’s basically an entirely stand alone game in itself. The price tag is only off-putting because the game is basically 15 years old, but the content you can squeeze out of both RDR and Undead Nightmare is more than worth the price of the game still.

I honestly thought I had already played this on PC, I guess it was on a console?

Confused old guys like me definitely won’t pay full price for the PC version, though people who haven’t already played it, maybe? At least you know you’re getting a good game. Two.

  4. Why shouldn’t it be full price? It’s a new game for PC. I just paid full price for the Aliens UHD disc, and never once thought it should be a discounted price because the movie is from 1979.

Honestly? Fair game. If people don’t want it, they can not buy it (or get it through… alternative methods), but at least there IS an official PC port. Wish I could say the same for Bloodborne.

I don’t see how this is a problem if people will pay for it. Porting a game of this age and size to it isn’t exactly easy, cheap or free.

I mean people have been wanting this for a decade and a half and the answer was always that the ps3’s moon rune code was too hard to port. If it works this is a win and im sure if we wait another decade and a half it’ll go down in price.

You’ve waited over a decade for it to come to Steam, you can probably wait a few more months for a Steam sale.

  9. People will buy it anyway because gamers are fucking terrible for rewarding shitty behavior from publishers.

  10. On the one hand, as someone who owns this on console already, this removes any incentive I have to buy a copy for PC. If it were cheaper, I’d be inclined to get a copy just for Steam Deck.

On the other, I can’t deny that anyone who has never gotten to play it before would get their money’s worth. Red Dead 1 is an incredible game and holds up very well (I personally prefer it over 2).

  11. I thought at first the headline meant it cost them as much as a new game to port it to PC

Whats with people and their moral crusade to justify pirating? Just pirate the game, you want it to play it for free theres no other reason, i dont judge no one cares, games dont go stale, how does this “its older this must be cheap” logic works? Porting aint done by charity workers….

  13. Don’t buy this. Complete joke it took this long to be released and at full price. Rockstar doesn’t deserve a cent for this crap

Will eventually buy this in a couple years when it’s on super deep sale.

  15. I fully expect PC players to hold this to the same standard at which they judge Sony for releasing overpriced ports and remasters.

  16. On the one hand, devs need to get paid for the work put in. On the other hand, nobody gives a 🐀🫏 about corporate greed.

They can charge whatever they want and you can buy it eventually at a price you agree with on sale.

Man the amount of shit rockstar gets away with is pretty laughable, I’m kind of expecting GTA 6’s story to be half baked at this point considering almost the entire main writing and directing team left after RDR2 and they’re way more focused on their online bullshit now

  19. It won’t. It will almost always be on special for $35. Then it will dip to $30 or $25 for special sales.

The semi recent Playstation and Switch versions were also $50. I don’t think this blindsided anyone. I’m going to buy it, simply because I’ve always been a PC gamer, so I’ve played RDR2 but never played RDR1. If I had already played it back in the day though, I’d probably take rain check until it was on sale for $20.
