I’m so tired of this endless, American-style, election campaign the Conservatives are running.

We are not in an election right now. They should spend their time governing. All Pierre has done for the last few years is act as if he is in an active election campaign.

I’m so tired. He’s been a politician for 20 years, yet this is how he behaves…

Would love to see thier election policy platform instead of 3 word slogan.

Mark my words thier policies will be released 2weeks before the next election vote on a Friday.

Devils in the details policies are whats important and I have yet to see any.

  3. Everytime I’m watching CP24, they run ads that humanize Poilievre. Make him a family man. Makes him out to be someone who actually cares about the pain people are feeling. Even throws in the mention that things have gotten too “woke”, which is cringy, but I know this will speak to some people who genuinely think this.

And then I watch Poilievre being the jerk that he is in question period, which is why I can’t take these ads seriously.

I had a CP candidate drop a flyer in my mailbox while I was home. I couldn’t believe it. Stop with the endless campaigning outside of an election.

We’re paying for his campaign. This shit should be illegal. I’m hoping the other parties use this data and nail him in parliament which later becomes a soundbite.

It’s wild that they’ve been in campaign mode for so long and he:

    a) has YET to get his security clearance

    And

    b) hasn’t released any policy details (AxE tHe TaX is NOT a policy, as much as they pretend it is)

I swear we had rules against early election campaigning? Or was that just a standard expectation of past years that we’ve given up on? I’m already sick of election rhetoric, we have polls shoved in our face every day and I already see insane political ads on social media and online from third party groups that spread obvious misinformation and hyperbole exclusively towards the Liberals and NDP. YouTube, Tiktok and Facebook etc are inundated with far right disinformation campaigns, bots and foreign influencing for years now as well.

This is not a healthy environment for our democracy.

  9. It’s not only these ads that are annoying because they simplify the truth and distort it but also using current period to undermine the liberals so they can win.

    It is dysfunctional.

This is all irrelevant. Pierre could take a dump on the Canadian flag in the middle of Dundas Square and he would win a majority government that night.

They might as well sustain the momentum, but this is less about Pierre and more about a population that’s absolutely sick and tired of Justin and the LPC.

Exact same scenario Wynne was in, and the Ontario Liberals still haven’t recovered.

I truly don’t understand how they are able to spend what they’re spending on essentially campaigning, before any writ is dropped

I also wonder just how many millions in “free” advertising and campaigning they’ve been getting from the media on their behalf.

Something really doesn’t seem right with how much noise the CPC seems to be making considering there seems to be very little to no rails on what they’re saying.

Ban all political advertising outside of election periods. Ban all advertising and add a life sentence with no chance of parole to those who advertise during hockey games
