I have another theory. Perhaps let’s increase interventionist DEI policies which stifle merit, indulge in disinformation campaign driven protests which consume otherwise valuable time and maybe, just maybe, let in droves of unqualified “students” looking to use this as a backdoor to PR.

I am confident this will improve rankings.

Yea, thats what happens when universities only care about profit and just keep prioritizing international students for money. Canadian education has been falling for a while now. Thats why we are dead last in terms of innovation in G7.
