I have been saying this for months. There are so many reasons to not peak so early. He has been beating the same drum for years and has nothing new for the next year run up to an election.
Well ya. All they need is a few really popular bills to pass and the table could be flipped.
Start to fix the problems the commoners see on a daily basis would be a great start.
He’s literally hiding Trudeau a prescription for beating him by telegraphing his lines of attack. Lots of time. Also plenty of time for conservatives to put a foot in their mouths. I don’t believe Canadians will elect this crop of conservatives with a massive majority but we’ll see.
It’s the economy. If things start to flip positive ( and Trump does not end up fucking us with Tarrifs), the sentiment will change. Trudeau knew a tight time is coming and timed his renewal gig for that. But there is permanent damage done, and Libs should not make him run again.
Sure, it’s possible.
History tells us it’s incredibly unlikely though if the leader of the Liberal party is still Trudeau.
Leaders in Canada generally don’t recover from the level of unpopularity Trudeau currently has.
If he’s smart enough to prorogue parliament and step down though? Sure, there’s always a chance.
unless immigration drops substantially or rent and food prices drop.  Liberals will get killed although  a new liberal leader could stop a tory majority potentially keeping the libs and ndp in powerÂ
It’s also possible that the liberals will collapse entirely much like we saw with the PC party when they became unbearably corrupt in the eyes of conservatives. And that’s the more likely of the possibilities to be honest.
The chances of justin bouncing back in the polls are almost zero
It might end up like the UK. The conservatives did recover in vote share a touch, but in the end it didn’t matter.

All current polls suggest a Conservative majority. If anything Conservative support is growing, and Liberal popularity is fading — likely to continue through to the election.
My voting decision has been made, I’m just waiting for the ballot to open.
