I’m a pretty big fan of science fiction myself.
My objections will be well founded.
Good
The NIMBY furore will be strong on this one.
Just as far as Malahide? Then what happens north of there?
This is well needed but there are many houses and some apartment blocks built right next to the existing line. I don’t envy the folks trying to get this one through 🫣
about time. Now build some more in other areas too.
Jesus, just as far as Malahide. Clown show.
Waterford Airport will have a functional rail connection before Dublin Airport ever does. State of the government having no ambition to connect air and rail.
There’ll be millions made in legal fees from the judicial reviews.
My god, I don’t know what’s happening, but I am LOVING the movement from Irish Rail lately
We could put them underground. Or failing that, perhaps we could build a sort of entirely underground urban railway system. Apparently such devilish things have existed across the water since 1863.
Can we have some rail outside or Dublin as well please? The Westport and Sligo Lines run parallel to each other all the way to Dublin, but at no point do they connect. They don’t even go to the same train station in Dublin

This fucking country will never build it.
A 200 billion euro pie in the sky with consultants and contractors leeching from the state but delivering nothing.
Irish rail has made it’s point, it needs more capacity to expand but we all know it won’t get it.
Cars and roads that’s what we’ll get more fucking cars and roads…
Cool. Can’t wait till 2050 for this to never happen.
Again.
