    I didn’t know Russia occupied territory all the way to northern Iraq. Turkey regaining the northeast after WWI is also very surprising, as despite losing the war, these lands were recovered by Ataturk.

  3. Translyvania was an ottoman vasal, not an ottoman territory. Russia at 1680 did not have a Baltic coast, it belonged to Sweden. Someone else mentioned Finnish borders, same thing. Large parts of Eastern Ukraine were not part of Russia but rather was some sort of no mans land between Crimea and Russia.
