As much as I can’t stand the guy, Trump’s calling him “Ron DeSanctimonious” was gold.

  2. BukkitCrab on

This sociopath doesn’t care how many of his constituents die as long as he can use them as political props.

  3. bob_scratchit on

He also spent a majority of his Hurricane Milton press conference warning looters they’ll get killed if they try to loot, because it’s a Second Amendment state. That’s where this dude’s mind is, not evacuations, not where to find shelter, but inserting wedge issue bullshit into an emergency press conference for one of the most potentially devastating Hurricanes ever.

Is this where the story flips from Harris has all the power but somehow in this one thing she has no power?

  5. MeepingSim on

He suggests that Kamala is “trying to politicize the storm” while his entire party is politicizing Helene and attacking FEMA with lies. Shouldn’t he be shouting about the Dems sending storms into Florida during an election or something? What a buffoon.

  6. You can tell he didn’t think we’d catch on so fast. He was probably going to say “they never offered!”

  7. LittleBallOfWait on

    >During an appearance on The View on Tuesday, Harris said it was a “shame” she hadn’t been able to speak to DeSantis, and that she will continue to call him when she is president.

This is so much better than DeSantis pretending he didn’t refuse the calls but no wonder he had to do some kind of damage control.

I’m not American but I have been following Republican dynamics after Helen since my part of Europe also have far right climate change denialist politicians and we will eventually be hit by a strong hurricane. One has to be completely braindead to vote Republican after this shitshow.

A Loud Mouth Baby describes 90% of the Republican Party. He’s a pouty baby too, though.

He is and always be a guy with small man complex and a huge chip on the shoulder. And yes. Mussolini wannabe

  11. With all Florida has to deal with DeSantis just complicates it more. He is a nightmare.

  12. mandoaz1971 on

Sadly yes. He’s supposed to be at a Metal music show in Orlando. Most of the candy pulled out after finding out this fact😢

“She’s the Vice President. She has no role in this.”

The VP has no direct specified role in anything, and they *know* this, yet they knowingly lie about her being the Border Czar, Space Czar (seriously, look it up), and acting like she is in charge of everything they claim is bad in the universe.

Except when it is convenient to say otherwise

  14. CurrentlyLucid on

They always have trouble admitting things, like trump with the sharpie, because he mis-spoke about the hurricane.

Ron is still salty he was pushed to the side in favor of Trump

“She has no role in this” meanwhile literally yesterday all these right wing dorks narrative online was

“it is Kamala’s fault FEMA spent so much $$$ on illegals that there’s not enough money for hurricane victims right now”.

  17. strange_stairs on

Republicans seem to get super angry when anyone reports what they say or do. Wonder why?

  18. dallasdude on

Ron Dee-Santis is singlehandedly keeping the pillowcase industry afloat.

  19. Complains the call he didn’t answer was going to be political – holds a press conference to make a hurricane political.

  20. Northern_Grouse on

People are going to die as a direct result of the GOP’s agenda.

    Once again.

Members of Congress representing states impacted by the hurricane actually voted against disaster relief funds for their constituents.

People will die because of this and that should be the headline. DeSantis turns a disaster into politics and it will be fatal for his state.

How hard is it to say: We agree on one thing, and that’s the safety of our people. We’ll make sure all lines of communication are open as needed to achieve that end.
