I swear this image gets more grainy every time it’s reposted.
[Original source for missing person’s map](https://www.canammissing.com/north-america-cluster-map.html). Of note, the map is only interested in missing persons that occur around *national parks*, which explains why places like Detroit, Chicago, Houston, and Miami seem to not be represented in the data. Also of note, the data from the cave systems map has been overlayed onto the missing persons map.

*So…* Fort Peck is the safest place…

I find it highly unlikely that the corner of South Dakota has more missing persons cases than Florida.

Looks plausible. What is happening in west and NW though? Dying in the woods?
Appalachian Trail looks pretty dangerous if you don’t want to be disappeared without a trace.

This is from the Missing 411 stuff. Very bizarre stuff. There’s a sub for it too but idk if it’s been taken over by professional deb00nkers (intel operatives in this case).

The morlocks snatch an eloi now and then, yeah.

I spent a lot of time reading about the 411 cases back years ago. It really intrigued me.
I eventually came away with the feeling that almost all of the cases were caused by police missing something early on or sloppy initial work, relying too much on 1 person’s testimony of what happened, and not being honest about what a powerful apex predator can do to someone it catches out alone.
There was maybe 2 or 3 of the cases presented that I could find back then that truly seemed like the person just vanished.

I feel like this data would be better represented if it removed cavers from the list.

Damn, I gotta get out and check all these cave systems that are apparently in my area.
