Word clouds are generated deterministically based on top word frequency with collocations disabled since bigrams seem noisy. Additional stop words are used for candidate names and common government terms (e.g. administration) to focus word clouds on party policies. Platforms come from the official Democrat and Republican party platform PDFs (details in GitHub).

The Dem cloud is prettier but not very legible. The word “Democrat” is huge and smack in the middle and I completely missed it at first look.

Everyone else is also shitting on this, but I wanna add on.
There’s nothing “beautiful” about you using the matplotlib features. You used wordlib in your code but that library is just using matplotlib.
color scheme is not readable. The size and color combination does not communicate anything about the data. If I saw this as a work sample for someone I was hiring I’d immediately deny them.
If youre like, 15 and this is your first pass at it, ok good first try.
but this is not beautiful, its a bad visual and I hope you are not working at my company.

Republican = RED; Democrats = BLUE not purple.
It’ll help fix the issues of people complaining about your gray text.
