If you still use chrome you clearly are just low hanging fruit waiting to rot off of the tree. Probably love the trump too. Good riddance.

It’s not like this is surprising, anyone who uses Chrome/chromium browsers was warned about this year’s ago when they started talking about removing v2 support.

Since uBlock Origin Light and AdGuard adhere to the Manifest V3, they will continue to work on Chrome.

Anyone else sitting here in Firefox land, watching this battle go down?

Stop the bullying, move to other browsers. Each has migration service from Chrome.

Stop using browsers made by ad companies

I would argue that if you want to be free from advertising, perhaps using a web browser created and distributed by the world’s biggest advertising company Is not the wisest strategy.

So why don’t they use manifest 3? Let’s all use deprecated apis.

I just switched over to Edge from Firefox a couple of months ago. Unpopular move, I know, but Firefox was utilizing too much system memory and I couldn’t figure out how to deal with it. I actually like the features Edge offers though.

Guess it’s time to find some new ways to block ads

Fuck google, since we stop using chrome, you all should stop using Google and switch to bing, it is in a better state than google right now.

As a pi hole + Firefox user, they can eat my pants.
So uBlock lite will replace it. What will replace Autoplay Stopper?

Old news, who cares, anyone still using Chrome at this point wont care or don’t know better

Why don’t they let users be free from ads? Is an ad adverse user going to buy whatever crap is being peddled?

Fitting name since this Canary falling dead should be a sign to Google.

Time for everyone to look up what a pihole is and build one for themselves! It takes a bit of time to setup by it blocks ads on your entire network. It won’t block ads on reddit, Instagram or TikTok but it will block ads on all sites, tvs, and mobile devices.
Brief info on what it is:
Instead of browser plugins or other software on each computer, install Pi-hole in one place and your entire network is protected.
Network-level blocking allows you to block ads in non-traditional places such as mobile apps and smart TVs, regardless of hardware or OS.

Plenty of great alternatives. I gave up chrome long ago. I use Ulaa now. Chromium based but with all the tracking stripped out but you can still use chrome extensions.
