it’s not exactly bad it’s a solid song but imo it just doesn’t scream “LISA” at all? like it sounds like a generic song that applies to any artist. i do love her soft voice though it sounds really nice

It’s pretty different from her other solo music but it’s refreshing. I think it’ll grow on me.

Definitely different from her other songs but I guess that was the whole point of having a solo career, you can try everything, and you dont have to follow a set guideline, glad shes trying different things, congrats lisa!

Regardless I liked it, wasnt an S Tier favorite but a decent bop!

  4. I actually like her vocals here, like she sounds so pretty. And the cute ‘rap’ part in between was my favourite part of the song

I’ll just listen to the original. Not a fan of that French guy and his family.

I like the change up from her last two singles. Love that Lisa is giving us a variety of sounds for this current era of hers.

Access to any songs and producers in the world.. but just does a mediocre version of “kiss me.” 🥲

I like the interpolation. I do think the song needs a little bit more oomph to be more to my liking.

In saying that I think they have executed what they wanted well. It’s a very chill more vocal focused song that’s not trying to be anything too impressive.

  10. I like it, it’s a cute song that will slip into my pop rotation without any problem. However, it stays a song that reminds me of Sabrina rather than Lisa. I don’t mind that she follows the trends though until she finds her individuality, what’s unfortunate is that I don’t think she’ll be able to perform this song live, I’m not sure she can hit these notes. Honestly, I’m puzzled by what she’s going to perform at the Victoria Secret Show *(well, mainly if she’s going to perform live at all)*.

The lashings over this were so overblown. Like it’s *fine*, my least favorite of her singles but it’s not an awful song. Cute background music.

  12. I wasn’t expecting this sound from Lisa but it’s not bad. It’s like a cross between S Carpenter and Doja Cat

My right ear enjoyed this song. I don’t know why poor mixing is becoming more and more common as of late, especially when kpop is multiple orders of magnitude bigger than it was just a few years ago.

The song itself wasn’t bad, and Lisa’s voice is perfect for a song like this, but it needed something different in the instrumental or the melody to make it stand out and be more of a Lisa song.

  14. I’m sorry I tried to get into it but the lyrics keep making me see his face and it puts me off😭😭

  15. i like that she’s trying different things but new woman is still the one to beat

  16. It’s a cute song. I prefer rockstar and new woman, but I like that she’s experimenting

  17. Really enjoy this one! Still doesnt beat New Woman for me but I loved this vibe the song is giving!

  18. So this is espresso with Sixpence None the Richer‘s “Kiss me” sample, and that’s it?

  19. Nightstar14 on

Someone said it’s like a planet her song and that’s the best description

To me this is the weakest of the three and I hope is not the direction she ends up going in musically. It feels a bit empty.

Although I think that’s less to do with Lisa and more to do with the sample. When I hear it- I think “oh I’ll go listen to Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer, I love that song.”

They didn’t do enough to reimagine the sample imo.

Wow, I love her voice in this! I’ve been avoiding spoilers from her performance the other day so some of these lyrics had me a little shook 🫣 like “how your tongue do all those tricks”??? Lisa is really showing a new more mature side of herself outside of YG and I’m loving it!

Loved the vibe Lisa brought here. She is exploring and it’s beautiful to see. The live version just felt better though, it hit differently. This one ended so abruptly; they should’ve let the instrumentals fade into the background. And I can’t get over the fact that it’s just a little over 2 minutes… way too short!

But New Woman? Still God tier.

  23. I don’t mind it, it’s an interesting combo and kinda relaxed.

Not sure if I’d seek it out specifically just to listen to it sandalone but can see it sandwiched in my nighttime driving playlist with Taeyeon’s Weekend, Sixpence None The Richer’s Kiss Me japanese version (insert “teach me Japanese” joke here I guess), Red Velvet’s Fool and Night Drive, OMG’s Rocket Ride, Skirt’s ODDTAXI, Yumming’s Call Me Back, B1A4’s Drive, Gorillaz’ 19-2000 and Ayumi Hamasaki’s NEXT LEVEL. Probably my favourite song from her so far.
