I did a quick check on why it was shut down. Its safe to say its had a history of incidents. Maybe the people hired to de-comm it fixed it?
It seems they’re making like $500M just flipping it. The owners got a $1.5B loan to decom it, and a $2B loan to reactivate it. So minus some of this and some of that, it seems they’ve made close to $500M just owning it and it hasn’t generated 1 erg of power.

If you care about clean energy and you stick your nose up a nuclear, you need to stop watching Hollywood movies about Chernobyl and go do some basic research about the advancements in nuclear energy technology. If your green new deal doesn’t include nuclear, it’s trash and I don’t want it.
