This is a 3D gun violence map designed for web/mobile/interactivity. It covers all of the United States, with data sourced from the Gun Violence Archive. We believe it is the first such site to utilize this data by normalizing by population, giving a risk value to each area. If you zoom in, building level details are available for a small fee. Gun Violence risk is certainly heightened in most urban areas, despite the higher populations. But rural areas can also be risky, given the low population. It is an America problem, not confined to urban ghettos.
