    Heute Abend, ab 21 Uhr Eastern, werden der Senator von Ohio, JD Vance (Republikaner), und der Gouverneur von Minnesota, Tim Walz (Demokrat), an einer von CBS News moderierten Debatte teilnehmen. Pro CBS‘ „Was Sie wissen sollten“-SeiteDie Debatte dauert 90 Minuten, hat kein Publikum und enthält keine Eröffnungsreden. Auch auf dieser Seite: "Kandidaten, die keine vorgefertigten Notizen oder Requisiten auf die Bühne bringen können, haben zwei Minuten Zeit, um eine Frage zu beantworten, und zwei Minuten Zeit, um darauf zu antworten. Für Widerlegungen wird ihnen eine Minute eingeräumt. Nach Ermessen der Moderatoren können die Kandidaten eine zusätzliche Minute erhalten, um die Diskussion fortzusetzen." CBS "behält sich das Recht vor" um das Mikrofon eines bestimmten Kandidaten auszuschalten. Mikrofone werden jedoch nicht standardmäßig stummgeschaltet, während der Gegner eines Kandidaten spricht.

      Some hypocrisy from GOP that crossed my mind today.

      1) They like to say ‘don’t have an abortion give the child up to adoption’, but they also say that people who aren’t biological parents aren’t real parents.

      2) The last few months, they’ve been blaming liberal rhetoric for the assassination attempts on Trump, but a few days ago Trump was literally calling for violence in the streets yet the GOP hasn’t rebuffed it whatsoever.

      Guys I found some of Vance’s prep notes, it says “in case you get too heated or nervous, just imagine everyone is a couch with big fluffy cushions that haven’t been broken in yet.”

      Delicious meal. I like his policy positions but also would be willing to vote for him just for that dish of hot cheesy goodness as well.

      Vance will either reflexively check it, or else he’ll publicly accuse Walz of telling him his fly was down, which sounds nuts.

      Walz has such powerful Dad vibes I’m not sure any accusation stronger than “you ate the last ice cream sandwich” is going to stick

      I’m going to get vibes whiplash tonight for sure. Vance is so viscerally offputting that I can feel my ancestors telling me to run for my own safety, but then Walz is so warm and excellent. so we’ll see.

      How is JD Vance going to defend against “Why did you create an admittedly fake story about immigrants eating pets, thus putting your constituents in Springfield Ohio in harm’s way for your own political benefit?”

      Supposedly, Vance was thinking of dropping the moniker “Traitor Tim” on Walz during the debate, and somehow using the pretext that Walz’s unit deployed after he had retired.

      Debating on going to a watch party. I’m just worried Vance is going to do a lot better than expected.

      Walz is going to not only present the Harris/Walz ticket to the audience, but he’s going to have to counter the awful lies JD is going to push about him and whatever else will please Daddy Trump. Vance can just keep spewing lies and hate, and the vibes voters who have 0 brain cells are going to like the appearance of control.

      I hope Walz brings up Vances drag phase, and basically says “It’s okay man, I’ve dealt with a lot of kids, I know what you were going through”. You know, big dad energy.

      This Vance clown has so many soft spots that Walz can use against him.
