That amount of food would feed me for at least – for weekend. Yes, I am a one mans eating machine.

Oh you fancy, huh?! Rummo products will get you over 100€ real quick!

  3. 189€ ???? We are family of three and we spend for one time 100€ max…

I don’t really see how that could cost you 189€. Receipt or breakdown is totally needed.

  5. did you buy these from r-kioski or something?! That price tag seems insane.

    Also /r/grocerycost

Most of it is even the supposedly cheap brands… This hurts to see…

That’s kind of depressive really. Back in my study days I used to make quick foods like eggs ham slices canned mushroom for a quick microwave omelet, or instant noodles, canned tuna shreds, canned crush tomatoes and what we call ‘hernemaissipaprika’. Later of course I started making real food

Never remember a portion costing more than 2-3 euros or so when making a meal for around 5-6 portions back then.

200e for what I see in that picture is sad. that’s nowhere near 50 portions of food.

Rummo pasta sure is tasty though, I love the twirly ones when in mood for something extra luxurious.

  8. Rummo sure is an expensive brand.

I’d also just make ponzu sauce at home. You can even choose a cheaper/better soy sauce than Kikkoman from an Asian market as the base. Cheaper and very simple to make and also tastes better.

Aika porvari edition. En oo itse rahaa näin paljon “laatu” tuotteisiin ja erikoismaustesiin käyttänyt. Eläisin samalla rahalla kuukauden, kun tämä tarjoaa yhden pastan ja välipalat.

Other commenters point out that these are not the low-end products, and some of them are quite unnecessary, but nonetheless, they are far from luxury products and the prices are still insane. And it doesn’t even include stuff like meat or fish.

I don’t even think of buying fish or chicken anymore. Minced meat or the cheapest pork is all I buy. Pasta or potatoes. Some spices, some hot sauce. Eggs. Rye bread. Sometimes I buy fresh vegetables. Everything else just seems like a huge, unnecessary expense. Add in some beer or nicotine products, and you feel like you’re being scammed.

Something happened with the prices in the last couple of years that just made me feel like I don’t live in a developed country or a society at all, and it’s all just a facade where the few middlemen, salespeople and rent-seekers extract the last penny they can from any gullible fool they can find, who still live under the false impression that we all play by the same fair rules and mutual respect.

You buy these from S-market or K-Kauppa? Try using Prisma for a bit bigger haul.
