Trump has spent $25 million dollars of his own money on relief for the victims, hired trucks to bring the supplies to them, set up a gofundme account that has raised $1 million in 24 hours, and personally handed out supplies. Meanwhile, Harris threw a fundraiser for herself raising $28 million dollars, and Biden and her are more concerned with sending money to Taiwan and Ukraine than they are about their own citizens.

Being roasted after the fact is irrelevant. His initial lies make the headlines and the debunking/roasting after the fact get virtually no attention, but the damage is done.
It’s like an innocent driver being permanently maimed by an idiot driver, who may or may not pay the price, insurance eventually will pay, but the innocent person is maimed for life.
Trump’s lies are engraved in people’s minds, very hard to change, after the fact. He knows this. Thus, he perpetuates so many lies, and many, if not most, will stick despite being false.
