    >In April 1990, then King Baudouin refused to sign the bill that would decriminalize abortion. Both King Baudouin and Queen Fabiola were known as deeply religious and fervent Christians. “For me, as a believer, it is completely incompatible with what you want. So don’t insist. It’s no,” Boudewijn said at the time to then Deputy Prime Minister Willy Claes (SP). He was even prepared to abdicate .

    >Through a detour in the legislation, the king was ultimately declared ‘unfit to rule’ for about 36 hours, allowing the abortion law to be signed by the government after all.

    >Yesterday the Pope made a private visit to the Laeken Crypt, where King Baudouin and Queen Fabiola are buried. There he already spoke about “the courage of the king not to sign a deadly law”.

    >Today Pope Francis went one step further. After all, the fact that Baldwin remained committed to his religious principles is sufficient for the Pope to beatify the then monarch. At the end of the mass celebration in the Baudouin Stadium, the Pope indicated that he will start the beatification process in Rome.

    >**Pope Francis further reiterated his views on abortion. “There is no discussion about that. A human life is destroyed. That is murder.”**

There is no discussion about that. Respect for Belgian laws is destroyed when doctors and nurses are called murderers. That is religious fanaticism.

You need a miracle for that.

Does it count as a miracle when you are extremely unfit for office just one day because the next day you are already miraculously healed?
