If you want real answers: I heard from ~20 acquaintance people (half of them doesn’t even liberal) that they were sad about it. It’s not like he had any chances to change anything recently, but it’s like last symbol of opposition massacred.

To be fair, “speaking out against the czar” is a synonym for “suicide” in Russian…

Naturally. I mean what was the Kremlin supposed to do? Can’t throw him out of a window in prison. There are metal bars in the way. /s

That is honestly the most surprising bit of information I have ever come across. Truly would have never expected this from the Russians

Russians will see this as something a *strong* country would do. The reality is that poisoning political opposition is about the most *bitchass pussy* thing you can do.

In no way shape or form is this a surprise.

I’m only surprised that they took the time to document it.

I never understood why he went back. Feels like anyone could have seen this coming.

I think nobody would be surprised and some people would say it was expected. It seems like Navalny’s time of public support came and went and over time more people reflected on him and the entire situation with Russia and figured, shit is fucked either way. Once the war started Navalny really felt like he slipped into irrelevance
Should’ve just stayed away, tbh. Willingly going to jail under a rival dictatorship does not seem like it was a wise move, surprisingly

So is the murderous war criminal Putin going to claim that Navalyny poisoned himself again?

Next they will tell us that Yevgeny Prigozhin wasn’t an accident.

The plan was always to kill him. This should surprise no one.
