Wir haben im Upstalbom Hotel Varel übernachtet, wir haben bereits Pläne, in den Jaderpark zu gehen und vielleicht nach Dangast zu fahren. Wir bleiben von Montag bis Freitag, 21. bis 25. Oktober. Was können wir sonst noch tun? Wir haben ein Baby, das zu diesem Zeitpunkt 8 Monate alt sein wird.

    1. Visit Neuharlingersiel and Carolinensiel. In Neuharlingersiel take a stroll through the harbor, in Carolinensiel buy some tea at Chrisitan Janssen, Am Hafen West 8 (may include time travel 😉 )

Both will work well with the baby stroller.

    2. If planning to go to the sea, check tide timetable to make sure the water is there when You go.

      Plan B:
If planning to do a mud hike, check tide timetable to make sure You get home before the water does.

    3. How the hell does one end up in Varel (Oldb.)?
The paratrooper barracks are closed and the Airbus factory cannot be visited afaIr.

Go to Dangast but beware, everything closes by 8 PM there! The pool there (DangastQuellbad) is nice, although the outdoor area is already closed. When you also pay for the Sauna, you are lucky if Tina does the Aufguss. She is a legend there.

In Dangast, eat a burger at the large of the two camp sites, and get a Tide Hopp beer, it is from a Small brewery in Varel.

In Wilhelmshaven, the Restaurant Oriental Gourmet, an Asian restaurant despite the name, is quite good, and the pool there (Nautimo) is also ok. It has two decent slides and a climbing wall.

Bremerhaven has the Klimahaus and the Emigration Museum. I can recommend both. Otherwise go to the beach and go for a long walk, North Sea is the best. (maybe you can do a walking tour to see some Watt (wattenmeer) which is fab). Drink lots of tea,I am very jealous.
