      The fact it can be modded out is genuinely hilarious. Wonder if Sony will retaliate by updating the game.

      Props to the modder but I’m not buying a game if it requires a mod to work properly.

      So do they do this for every other game that require an account? Microsoft, Ubisoft, EA, Epic?

      In theory the account requirement shouldn’t be problematic, if it was only used to track things like achievements.

      But it’s required to just play the game and that I don’t love. Because it didn’t used to be, and because we know that these kind of systems always break eventually.

      Just another reminder that you don’t really own your games anymore. (Unless you use GoG and move the installation files elsewhere, then you own it)

      I ask this in good faith because I just don’t understand. Why does this upset so many people? I feel like no matter what game I play, I have to sign up for something just to use it. Whether it’s a Microsoft account, a steam account, or a ubisoft account, a Rockstar account, an epic account. A paradox account. Why is Sony specifically receiving this vitriol?

      I know it’s a hot take. But I just made a fake email and a fake PlayStation account. It took 10 minutes while I ate cereal. Yea it sucks I had to do it, but I’m not really that mad about it.

      “Controversial” lmao, it’s a requirement for numerous other games made by different devs and publishers.

      Guessing the pirated version of the game doesn’t come with a PSN requirement either… the pirates get all the good shit.
