    1. Don’t airlines generally offer grievance rates that are lower than advertised rates if you tell them you are going to a funeral? I know Southwest does this.

      I’m not saying she is wrong, it is just a weird example. Like claiming that in the future, restaurants might use data to figure out it is your birthday and charge extra for dessert

    2. Gosh if only there were some governmental mechanism to keep them from doing that.

    3. I thought they offered bereavement rates (discounts) when a loved one dies.  At least they used to.

      Airlines make a fortune from last minute bookings.
