      I’m awaiting their revelations about the dryness of water and the colour of the sky.

      I understand why this happens and yet I find it painful as there are no large supermarkets near where I live. I don’t have a car to be able to reach one. It makes the cost of living that extra bit more expensive.

      No shit. I used to live a cross the street from a Sainsbury’s Local and within walking distance of a full sized Waitrose. The Waitrose was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper.

      There’s a Co-Op and it’s smaller version half a mile apart on the same road near me. You’d think they were hauling the stock to the top of Everest rather than over a t-junction based on the difference in price.

      I appreciate there’s extra logistics, etc, etc, but sometimes it does look like they’re just taking the piss.

      They can regulate how much energy companies can rip us off by, while food prices run rampant.

      What’s often missed here is that they can’t charge more for a specific item in a convenience store over a superstore, so a pint of milk will cost the same in a Tesco express vs a Tesco Extra. Instead they have a smaller range and will only stock brand name etc.

      Convenience is part of the service that you’re purchasing. If you don’t want to pay for convenience, you can inconvenience yourself by going to a larger, less convenient shop usually a bit further away or slightly inconveniently planning ahead to receive a delivery (at a convenient time).

      Serves them right for shopping at a convenience store.

      Get a car, get a 9-5 job, and go shopping at a mega-store on Saturday morning like any normal person.

      Dealing with major names on the high street is one way that Labour could improve the cost of living situation, especially at the poorer-end of society.

      About 21% seems right when I compare my local Tesco Express to our big Tesco. Makes sense; economies of scale are a thing for a reason!

      You pay with convenience. Either with money or your privacy. Can’t believe this is a  surprise to anyone 😳
