Oh no.
I was half expecting worse.
It would be nice if the federal government could find a way of financing it properly so it wouldn’t have to go up quite that much, but that was never going to happen. Failing that, I’d have liked to have seen the following:
* a slightly *larger* increase in the price of a standard ticket; and
* a reduced price ticket for those on low incomes, especially those reliant on welfare benefits — perhaps even a free version for the most vulnerable of all.
Why use public transportation at all? They should make trains illegal and force everyone into buying a car already.

I am happy that is not ending. A small increase is ok if that is the price for keep the program going.
They should include tiers in the pricing instead of increasing the prices. Like add a first class option for trains which have a first class (many regios have first classes and they go empty all the time).
Sorry I’m about to travel to Germany for studies, what is Deutschlandticket?
“Low wage workers” when they have to work 1 hour more to afford something “Oh no, this is unfair!”
“Low wage workers” when “high wage workers” (who sacrificed 10~13 years to their achieve education, without earning a cent while ramping up loan debt) have to work 60 hours more to stay on par with rising taxes and social system contributions: It’s not that much, why do you complain?
Back to the car it is
Good. Even if it will cost 100€, it is still cheaper than my previous Jobticket for commuting to work. Plus, I can use it in whole Germany. So even if the price would be the same like my previous Jobticket, there are benefits.
I would be even okay if the ticket is 100€ and they invest the 42€ only on the infarstructure.
unpopular opinion: this deutschlandticket is not sustainable at all; if you want to develop the public infrastructure, you cannot just subsidise transport that much for all the working population/students in Germany
To some of yall this may be a small increase, but to people like me who are struggling to make ends meet from all the bills, this is terrible…
50€ is what I could tolerate without using it, canceled it is for me
