      These moves are just making me use YouTube less and less. Offer Premium at a fare price and I pay for it.

      Pay to see the same content i can see for free and getting rid of adds its such a great deal
      Im sure they wont increase the anmount of adds for free users right after they remove Ublock from Chrome…
      Seems like im gonna keep using Ublock origin and firefox

      It’s about ten bucks now in Czechia up from about seven. Still the best money i spend all month to be honest.

      I find it interesting, that Google are nearly valuing the YT product at the same price point as just gaining access to the internet via ISP in some locations.

      I got called entitled for saying I don’t see the upside of premium vs the cost. For more than a couple streamers put together I just don’t see ad free being worth it and returning some features they took away from the free users a few years ago. I’m not going to reward them for that. Some people say well YouTube music! And I honestly didn’t even know that was still going as Google has killed off like 4 music players before.

      I was happy with the cheaper Premium Lite option that offered no ads, but they discontinued it and now want me to pay like $21 a month. And that’s not even the family plan, just the individual one. I cancelled on the spot. And *I get* it Reddit, AdBlock exists, but I use YouTube on much more than just my desktop—preferably on my PS5, Google TV, and Chromecast.

      I had premium for a while but Revanced is simply better. I’m trying to do something about my short attention span, so I purposefully don’t watch shorts anymore. Revanced allows me to remove shorts entirely, from the menu and the feed. It’s fantastic. And it’s also ridiculous that a free app gives me more custom options than the official paid subscription.

      €6/month increase in Ireland on family plan… In my case this might end up as €18.99/month of savings instead.

      YouTube really wants us to hate YouTube.

      How about they gives us a a tier where we can pay only for getting rid of the ads? You can call it some like YouTube Premium Lite…… oh wait. 😕

      You know what’s the thing? It keeps getting worse and I keep watching it less. I still like my channels but I think the main ones would probably somewhere else, I can imagine LGR or so just changing platforms. So… yeah, it sucks but worst case they still haven’t fixed the issues I would pay for or shown being worth that much value without that.

      I would remember you guys, that using a vpn with Albania as country, will remove the ads natively 😂
      Free ads on YouTube for 2-3€/month 🥰

      I use ReVanced but yt premium is one thing that I would happily pay for (if ReVanced died) because it solves both video+music ads. It would work with smart TVs as well and if you consume a lot of yt just like me it’s worth more than anything else in the market. You can easily torrent Netflix and Disney+ movies.

      It’s time for a YouTube alternative. I’m not talking about some existing open source alternatives like PeerTube, or some older sites like Vimeo and DailyMotion.

      It needs a big player with punch. Facebook or Amazon maybe?

      YouTube become shittier ever day and that’s partly caused because they are a monopoly.
