Es ist schrecklich. Ich verstehe nicht, warum wir gefährliche Hunde nicht verbieten können. Wenn Sie ein Haustier wollen, ist das in Ordnung, aber wie ist es möglich, dass solche Bestien erlaubt sind?

It’s more about the owner or people who raise the dogs than the breed.
I’ve sadly wintessed a couple of dog attacks in my life, and nearly all of them were not committed by dogs that we’re deemed a dangerous race. Neglect and improper care are the culprits.
Prison for the owner of those degenerated dogs.
We should restrict and punish dangerous owners, not dogs.
I am all for a dog’s license mandatory
Some people just shouldn’t raise any dog whatsoever, especially the most aggressive breeds. At least some cantons banned American Terrier and Pitbull though. I say it was a good move.
These dogs are already forbidden in some cantons.
Discussions around this topic are usually very toxic. I’m not a dog person but I think these breeds are just made to attack and hurt people or whoever. In the wrong hands these dogs are weapons and in the right hands they may be harmless pets (with the power to kill).
Let’s be honest, a certain populace is very drawn to these kind of dogs. Mastiff, Staffordshire, American Pitbull etc. and it’s the same people who usually don’t shine by very responsible behavior in general. Or to put it the other way round – people who have these dogs will tell you they love their pets but they would never have a poodle.
Trash dogs for trash people.
The dog is not the problem…the owners are the problem!!!
What I find really appalling is how most of the times these strong dangerous dogs are owned by the most weak skinny looking people you can ever see
There’s an astounding number of people in Switzerland who confidently consider their dog “calm and peaceful” to the point or leaving them unattended or without leash. I’ve come across once with an unleashed Rottweiler, while his owner was playing with his phone few meters away, without even looking. When I’ve protested, he told me to stop whining. People should pass tests before adopting a dog, no discussion
I have a pitbull and a 1 year old…they are best friends…it’s the same as labeling a race as one stereotype because of the actions of a few people…you cannot blame the dog for how it was raised.
Any advice on potential weapons against dogs? What is legal to carry in Switzerland for self defense?
