      I don’t get what’s so nice about 3, 9, 10 and 12.
1 looks like a set for Dune. 4 is my personal favorite and 17 and 18 look amazing too

Some of these will age pretty poorly I think. Remember some of those new buildings in the 90s that looked cool and futuristic and look like an eye sore today?

    3. Probably one of 5, 7, 10, 13 or 15. Leaning to 13 probably.

The others feel like either tasteless blocks, or weird expensive-yet-not-functional stunts.

Those that are a combination of classical and futuristic czech architecture.

      4 looking good.

3 is looking incredibly generic though. Is there something I’m missing there?

    6. 1, 4, 11, 17, 18 depending on context would probably pick between those.

    7. Some buildings just look like any other business park building (like the third one) or typical hotel/B&B accommodation.

The modern ‘Hobbit hole’ one looks fantastic though.

The architetcure at no.8 the **public swimming pool** is very impressive. The giant glass panorama looks stunning and the v-shaped racks are playing with the water surface, making it an “X” for spectators from above.

Would love to watch a water polo match or a swimming competition in there.

    9. That hobbit house, it just looks very nice and cozy. Or the last one, because I haven’t seen whipped cream architecture before

    10. The Hobbit house is most attractive for me. The last one also is interesting but looks so out of place in that area (judging from the picture)

9 and 11, please don’t pervert the number‘s combination, but were the ones I found more „human“.

It’s literally incredible that the third one is up for an architecture prize

    13. Would like to see more pictures/renderings of the last building. Anyone knows the name of the building?

I hate this generic ass clean style from 9, 12 popping up across the entire world. It makes every country look exactly the same and is devoid of any culture at all it just looks clean

I would describe it as “clean warm clinical”

It’s really difficult to say. 1, for example. What is its purpose? Does it meet that need well? It looks pretty cool, but if it’s a school or a hospital wing it’s possibly a very bad one.

Half of these look like the standard modern monotone architecture that’s a dime a dozen

    17. Number 4. Provides space for humans, allows still a lot of natural light in from the outside and leaves space for nature, which is a true modern and much needed take, considering more and more nature has to make way for ugly concrete.

My ratings of all the buildings:

1 that’s some Dark Souls boss arena shit, so no

2 will be laughed about with distant pain in peoples eyes in a couple years, because the LED gaming inspired look will be out of fashion

3 is just “box with windows”

      5 more uninspired boxes

      6 ??? just no

7 looks like a skilled hobbyist project but built without a building permit. Doesn’t match surroundings at all, eyesore

8 average and boring, seen different places like this maybe a hundred times elsewhere

9 same as 8, what would even qualify this average boring thing for an award?

10 average, red doesn’t change that

11 not sure what the building is supposed to be, looks not practical for living or literally anything that’s not a museum. If it’s a museum could be a strong contender.

12 steel beams of average eyesore, rest in this pic is also average boxes again

13 looks interesting but not award worthy

14 more uninspired boxes stacked on top of boxes, but it’s white and looks expensive. Average no.

15 Elmo, that you and new Xitter headquarters marking territory with Xs?

      16 No.

      17. Creative use of some shapes to hide the box-y-ness but also feels like I’ve seen it numerous times in other places

18 looks interesting and would probably be THE thing in a different area, but it doesn’t seem to fit in with the surroundings. For most people it’s probably already and eyesore which is sad, because I like the idea
