    1. > “When I was in my early 20s there was a rumor that I was a man,” Gaga told Bill Gates. “I went all over the world. I traveled for tours and for promoting my records and almost every interview I sat in they said … there was this imagery on the internet that had been doctored … they’d say, ‘There’s rumors that you’re a man. What do you have to say about that?’”

      > “The reason why I didn’t answer the question is because I didn’t feel like a victim with that lie and I thought: What about a kid who is being accused of that who would think that a public figure like me would feel shame?” Gaga continued. “I’ve been in situations where fixing a rumor was not in the best interest of the well being of other people. In that case, I tried to be thought provoking and disruptive in another way. I tried to use the misinformation to create another disruptive point.”

I actually really applaud this. So many celebs lately always have to put out a statement. They don’t owe us anything. The media and unknown internet people are always going to have something to say anyway.

Have mad repect for Gaga. Her give a F meter was busted long ago, and her message of love for everyone transcends both time and space.

    4. it’s a ridiculous accusation and also, transphobic. there’s nothing wrong with being trans, nothing to be ashamed of. this sorta “gotcha” thing done by stupid people over something that’s a non issue and is normal is dumb

      being transphobic isn’t a flex

I was 11 when Just Dance came out, and I was immediately obsessed with Gaga. I was obviously young and had deeply instilled negative beliefs from my parents regarding the LGBTQIA+ community. Seeing that video and speculation made me say “so what if she is a man?” Seeing her as an ally taught me to be an ally. And when I was 16 I was able to recognise I was more than an ally and come out as bi.

I don’t listen to her music anymore but I still appreciate her like crazy. She unwittingly changed the lives of so many people, me included.

Where did that rumor even come from? She doesn’t have any traditionally masculine qualities. She looks and sounds like a woman who’s always been a woman.

Just to clarify, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being trans. I just don’t see where those allegations came from. Is it just because she’s supportive of that community?

I think she’s the best actress working in Hollywood right now. Absolute cinema.

This is a thing lol if you know whatever someone say isn’t true, why even give it the benefit of a response? I think most always feel this need to respond, whether it’s to defend themselves or whatever but yeah…just move on, especially if it’s from strangers.
