Earlier, the Indian Foreign Ministry had released a detailed schedule of PM Modi’s US visit, which includes his participation in the Quad meeting and other important events. According to Reuters, Modi may also meet Trump during this period. During Trump’s presidential tenure (2017-2021), a deep partnership was seen between PM Modi and him. Events like “Howdy Modi” in Houston and “Namaste Trump” in India were a symbol of this cooperation, which attracted global attention.

The relationship between Trump and Modi further strengthened US-India relations. In particular, the two leaders increased cooperation on defense and strategic issues, especially to counter the growing influence of China. During PM Modi’s US visit, he will attend the fourth Quad Summit in Wilmington, Delaware on September 21, which will be hosted by US President Joe Biden. The summit will review the achievements of the Quad countries in the last one year and set the agenda for the future. On September 22, PM Modi will address the Indian community in New York and meet CEOs of US companies in sectors such as AI, quantum computing, semiconductors and biotechnology.

Apart from this, on September 23, PM Modi will also address the summit of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the theme of which will be ‘Multilateral Solutions for a Better Future’. During this time, PM Modi will also hold bilateral talks with many global leaders.
