US has 2 million troops and 3/4 of a million civilians working for the military. Just to give some idea about the numbers involved.

Of course America has a population of 345 million versus Russia’s 144 million.

    Cannon fodder.

In an alternate universe, the Russians get tired of dying and being tossed like scraps, and give Putin what I would call “the Libya”

  3. But what is this an actual increase of compared to the initial size?

So what is left after you have already scraped the bottom of the barrel?

  5. So that means additional 180K soldiers to existing 2.2 mils. If 1000 soldiers lost everyday is true for the russians. That’s almost a year’s worth of meat to the grinder.

Considering the salary of each conscript to be roughly 2000 USD per month . Let’s imagine they do get paid fairly since logistics of transporting conscripts do involve budget spending : that’s roughly 4.3 billion dollars a year out of their piggy bank of 56 billions.

I hope this doesn’t become a forever conflict and the West does give Ukraine weapons to make russia burn through it’s money faster.

Edit: Found more info , according to some sources the annual payments made to russian military personnel fighting in Ukraine and the compensation payments due to their relatives amounted to between 2.75 trillion and 3 trillion rubles (€29.5 billion–€32 billion) as of late July. This is equivalent to roughly 1.5% of Russia’s estimated GDP in 2024 and 8% of its total federal budget expenditure.
USSR military expenditure was considered one of the many reasons for it’s collapse and was 15-19 % before it’s crush.

You are sending good men to their deaths! Wait to use those lives on your war with the US.. if you are struggling a war with Ukraine, what would make you think a war with the US would be a good idea? Lol

What would it take for the Russians to rise up and not allow themselves to be slaughtered in a senseless war?

All of the decent Russians are already in the US Army fighting the silly Russians.

    For a 3-day operation? Weird.

    What’s next, Ukraine invades Russia?

    That’ll be the day…

This asshole really knows how to thin out his population and any potential objectors! Mind you given their education and exposure to propaganda it’s probably only one in 10,000.

  11. as usual, the common man in russia has to make up for the mistakes of the tzar and his generals.

I guess losing 1200 Soldiers a day since May isn’t enough for Russia.

  13. He needs to announce a draft starting in Moscow. Let’s see how that works out for him.

  14. A rather interesting number considering that Russia started this war with roughly 2 million military personnel and they’ve been bragging about recruiting on average about 20k new soldiers every month since then.

I wonder where all those soldiers have disappeared to since they should have a military with about 2.7 million personel by now rather than the 2.2 million the Russians claim they have. And what do you know, Ukraine claims to have killed/wounded about 500k Russian soldiers. But I’m sure that’s just a coincide and nothing we should think too hard about.
