In addition to the other suggestions, make sure through your provider you have spam calls blocked. That has really helped me with my landline from Swisscom. I get almost none now.

Don’t answer it if you don’t know the number, if it’s important they’ll leave a voicemail or send an email.

If you don’t answer their call your number is flagged and you’re then not “picked” for as many call campaigns

The agents only have a certain amount of time, they’re not going to waste their autodiallers on numbers that don’t get answered

It’s frustrating, but it feels like we just have no central place to report incidents like that.

And eventually the problem became big enough to cause legislation to draft something in coorperation with those people, and it will become mandatory for any carrier to implement this:

Is this the solution? Not 100% but this is going to reduce spam calls that originate from abroad and are spoofing local numbers drastically.

Meanwhile around here. we pay quite a log for a phone contract just so our complaints are turned down by swisscom and co with a “sorry, nothing can be done” apology.

I wonder if a few more independent authorities that take our complaints would be helpful here too… afaik SEKO is responsible, no?

I have the same problem and I ended up by installing an app that allows me to block numbers patterns:

+4121589…
+4122589…
+4124589…

And soo on.

After a while the numbers of calls that I received per week were finally reduced from 30/40 to just 5 or even 0.

Like what the fuck are you guys doing with ur informations? I have 1 spam call a month. Stop giving ur informations to any stupid shit that ask’s for it or at least read the small text that usually tells how your informations gets sold to marketing callcenters.

Don’t answer these numbers. If you do, they’ll mark your number as ‘active’ in their database, leading to even more calls.
