      Genuinely curious, what happens to them now. Do they go back home? Do they try to get asylum?

      This would all be a joke if it weren’t for the millions of people having to live in this dystopia where even speaking for a woman is illegal

      I guess disowned is the word religious zealots like to use instead of “You’re fired!” like most of us like to use.

      I hope the former embassy staffs and ambassador will be given the option of asylum and stay put.

      What happens to the property the embassy is on?

      Does the UK Foreign Office take responsibility for its upkeep until relations with Afghanistan are normalized?

      Nobody’s going to mention that these diplomats were installed by the US-backed Afghan government, not thhe Taliban?

      It’s like expecting the US to back Confederacy-appointed diplomats.
