For those who aren’t going to read the article but get mad about it, they don’t mean an Israeli taboo against Muslims.

They mean a taboo in Muslim society against serving in the IDF even if they live in Israel.

    From the article:

“On October 7, the penny dropped among Arab Israelis. They saw that Hamas opened fire on everyone, and did not distinguish between Jewish and Muslim citizens,” Abu Raya said. “And there are still Muslim hostages in the hands of Hamas.”

I had the pleasure of serving both with Druze, Bedouins and Samaritans.
The Bedouins are best in knowing the land, they can track a rabbit to its hole and live off the plants of the desert for days. (And also make the best dishes my burying a pot in a low heat coals)

The Druze are fierce warriors serving in the best units of the IDF, they got a secretive religion, but nonetheless a very intriguing religion.
