  1. I can’t imagine Putin being crazy enough to push the button. He wants to stay alive with his billions of Russian citizen’s rubles.

  2. Russia has failed to act on every prior red line and a failure to do so means that the logical, strategic route is to continue to ignore subsequent red lines based on past evidence. This strategy has been successful and supported by people with political, military and intelligence backgrounds.

    Only direct evidence, not conjecture, should change this strategy. Delays in providing permission or arms only serve to get people killed unnecessarily.

    Don’t fear them. But do be ready with decisive responses should Putin try to use them, say, on a target inside Ukraine.
