  1. >Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that Islamic countries should form an alliance against what he called “the growing threat of expansionism” from Israel.

The way I see it, Erdogan try to get more power in the muslim world on the back of the world hate against Israel. He try to make it look like Israel want to get lands from Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria and Turkey

I checked few arab news sites and here’s a quote from one of them

    >In a report by Younews, affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Erdogan claimed that “Israel plans to occupy the West Bank and will not stop at Gaza. It will also seek territories in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Turkiye following the occupation of Ramallah.”

    >He emphasized that “the only step that can halt Israeli state terrorism is a coalition among Islamic countries.

He is leveling up his efforts in making it look like it’s a war between the muslim world to Israel

Which alliance? They hate each other more than they hate Israel.

  3. It’s not like it’s a new problem, they had time to ally with Palestine and most don’t want to. His country sucks so his big plan is to be an agent of chaos while taking max bribes, but as usual for this guy it’s a dumb plan that’s all talk and makes no actual sense.

  4. Edrogan is a piece of shit. Why do we let him get away with this fence sitting bullshit when we know he would stab the West in the back as soon as it’s convenient?

What about the Uighur people. Or the Kurds. Or the Rohingya. Guess it’s just whatever’s in the news. Some would say the Palestinians aren’t even necessarily Muslim/islamic…

Who would the Muslim leaders blame for all their problems if Israel/Jews did not exist?

    The gays? Christian minorities? Armenians?

Nasser tried this already. It’ll fall apart because of infighting among them. Erdogan probably assumes he will head this new alliance. But each country has their own strongmen that won’t take a secondary role,

He is about 40 years too late. Too many Muslim countries have been repeatedly burned by violent revolutions and political assassinations led by Palestinians (Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Egypt) to risk much for their cause now.

Yeah, they tried that. That’s why Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq’s flags all looked similar. Though Iraq kind of invited itself which was hilarious by it’s own right.

As you’ve all heard of Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq you can easily guess the effort to unify the countries as United Arab Republic didn’t work.

  10. This is a wild shift for Turkey. They were a de facto member of the anti-Iran pact Israel and the Saudis were putting together, and had the distinction of being basically the only ME nation with positive relations with Israel.

It’s ridiculous that people believe a country of less than 10 million people and an area of 26,000 sq.km. surrounded by Islamic countries with a population of 400 million people with an area of over 7 million sq.km. is somehow terrifyingly expansionist.

I don’t get why or how turkey is still considered an ally. To me, turkey is most untrustworthy, blackmailing other NATO most of the time when there has to be an decision. They stray further and further into an islamic autocracy. No business with aholes!

  13. Oh no!  Not an alliance of Muslim nations teaming up on Israel!

Whatever will they do if that happens a fourth time!

Meanwhile the highest standard of living for Muslims anywhere in the region is inside Israel, where they actually live up to their liberal secular democratic values

“Erdogan asks to have his country expelled from NATO,” got it

  16. Erdogan is calling for an Islamic alliance *against* Israel, yet the very same alliance would refuse to accept Islamic refugees from Palestine?

That’s a bold strategy cotton. Let’s see if it plays out for him.

I hate how well placed turkey is. We have to tolerate bullshit like this

Islamic alliance rescue the Uyghurs from state sponsored slavery should be on the agenda. But no because Islamists are hypocritical clown shows who talk big about protecting Islamic brethren under the guise of doing shitty things
