The timing of this video release ironically just rubs in the embarrassment.

it’s so weird that /r/space downvotes and hates on this when on /r/spacexlounge they’re actually having conversations and actually seems optimistic about NG.

I’m looking forward to the New Glenn launch. It’s a big rocket, about as a big as a Falcon Heavy. The launch will be a much bigger deal than the Vulcan or Ariane 6 launch.

Long term Blue Origins is probably going to be SpaceX’s main competition. The first stage is designed to be reused. So once they get reuse working reliably it could launch dozens of times a year. Cost should scale much better with launch rate than any expendable rocket.

The thing that comes across the most to me with Blues complex is the look of quality build. Everything looks like heavy industrial quality like you see in
construction, because you need things to work, and have easy repair ability. Their pad looks like something that actually may work for “Rapid Reusability”. The other thing that is clear, is that the Cap is THE American space port. A national effort was launched to create that amazing place, and it clearly has the necessary infrastructure and vastness for such an endeavor. It wont be very long before all 50 launch sites at the Cape will be in use 24/7.
