      They speculate this based on blue shifted iron I spectra on the day side of the planet.

      Astronomers have never discovered anything on an exoplanet. We don’t have the technology to even see what an exoplanet looks like, let alone know anything about what properties it might have. They hypothesize based on the planets side and relative distance to its star, among other things. But it’s all just guesswork right now.
