      It’s odd that the article mentions Russian scientists leaking hypersonic missile tech at Chinese civilian conventions when China already has hypersonic missiles. They don’t need Russias.

      Either Putins getting paranoid or these scientists did something even worse and the truth is being withheld.

      This is why the smartest Russians have fled Russia or tried to in the past 5 great brain drains over the last 100 years. Stalin persecuted and executed some of the greatest scientific minds the world had to offer, the very people that could have saved his ‘union’ and catapulted Russia into a world leader. Today Putin continues this legacy of Russian ‘leadership’…

      Authoritarian leaders don’t like people smarter than they are who aren’t fanatical sycophants. They don’t understand that most scientific progress happens through communication and the sharing ideas around the world with other scientists. It goes against their nationalist aspirations of superiority and just proves the absolute stupidity of it.
