Nobody cares about genocides in the global south, unfortunately

Yeah cuz it’s depressing and there’s not much we can do about.

Maybe because no amount of money is going to make these people stop hating each other

Because there are genocides everywhere and you can only focus on the ones that you can profit off of the most.

The west looks away, Russia and the Middle Easterners are very much fomenting war in the hopes the forces they back will send gold to their countries. The west shouldn’t get involved beyond sanctioning those plundering the country.

Classic damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario. Either it’s a “terrible US world bully” angle or a “US is at fault for this for not stepping in”.

Plus you know no Jews, no news.

  7. If US/West got involved 100% media starts calling the intervention a “colonial enterprise”. (Bonus points if they call it an ethnic cleansing or genocide)

The West cares more about monumental buildings on fire
and billionaires who thought it was a good idea to go see the titanic in a barrel with a ps4 controller as a steeringwheel

Too many genocides to focus on currently, need to just ignore them all /s

    That’s because it’s not Israel.

Tell them Israel is doing it, or selling them weapons. They’ll be up in arms by noon the following day.

That’s a tough one. On one hand intervention is risky. On the other hand we have genocide convention and a moral obligation to stop it. So it’s either intervention or very serious reevaluation of our morals when it comes to genocide

Wym? It’s only genocide if whites or jews are involved nowadays

A great documentary to watch about the Nuba people in Sudan and efforts to provide them with medical aid is “The Heart of Nuba”.

No interventions in civil war. Too messy and the winner usually because the new dictator anyway.

I’ve been scrolling through the comments for a bit and I wonder if all these posts with jabs about pro-Palestine folks not caring about this realise the irony in their own posts.
