Usually the Ashkali are the integrated roma. Romanis the non integrated

I read that they are descendants of Egyptian soldiers who (unfortunately, not proud of that part of our history) fought with Ottomans against the Greek revolutionaries during their war of independence and escaped from Greece eventually settling in Albania.
