      I visited Lviv a couple of years before the war, wonderful city, so much history and rich culture, all friendly people and the most amazingly decorated cafes I’ve ever been to. Stay strong Lviv 💪

      Just before the usual suspects chime in with their clear lack of geographical knowledge with stupid arguments like “Dur they shouldn’t live so close to the front then”, Lviv is probably the ‘big city’ furthest away from the Front. It’s in the west of the country right near the Polish border, and is actually closer to Warsaw than it is to Kyiv.

      There was no reason for Russia to strike Lviv except to terror bomb the civilians.

      I’m a US-based English tutor for a resident of Lviv. My student, by a string of coincidences, arrived in the US two days ago to participate in an American research project. I can’t imagine what she must be feeling right now. This story makes ill.
