      I am looking for a living donor for a kidney now, in the US. The wait time for cadaver organs is 4+ years. What would be helpful is national attention on the need for organ donation. All medical costs for the donor are paid for and the down time for recovery is weeks bc of improvements in harvesting techniques.
      Desperation leads people to look at buying organs. Eliminate the desperation via advertising and alleviate the markets for selling organs.

      The people of Myanmar need help. They are being slaughtered by a brutal regime that enslaves hundreds of thousands of people (scam factories anyone?) the young people have given up protesting, which only gets them shot, and taken to the wilderness where they are attempting to arm themselves.

      But when the regime receive billions in support and the brave young people get virtually nothing, they are seriously outgunned.
