TLDR: A recent investigation reveals that Georgia is involved in circumventing sanctions to supply military equipment to Russia. Drones, computer processors, GPS devices, and memory cards are being sent through Georgia despite sanctions imposed. The report highlights how shipping companies bypass restrictions via routes through Azerbaijan and Iran.

The article is full of weird statements.

…washing macine motor can be used as drone motor – It is nearly impossible, voltage is 10 time different. And power of these motors is way less than much smaller drone motor has (300-500W, which is 5 times less than drone motor of similar mass has). Heavy motor on drone means less payload, less flying time and less range, making this concept useless.

…processors in home appliance can be used to control drone – techically yes, but for drone in 2010. Nowdays even hobby drones use STM32 F3 and higher, which would be absolute overkill to use in washing machine, where every cent matters and lowest possible grade components are used.

…Tantalum, mass of 710kg and price 2400 USD – actual price is ten times bigger, 300 USD per kg.

A lot of techical errors in the article, which are easy to find, give idea that non-technical parts of it are also false a bit less than totally.

BTW, it is true that infinite cargo cars are going from Turkey to Russia via Lars. Who knows what is inside…

Not sure what any country can do when goods are destined to third countries have all the required document including the so called end user document for dual use goods. All, such suspicious cargos are logged (asked anyone, who has ever carried out any operations with the goods in question and they will tell you it takes longer to process) and information provided to US/EU/UK and then it is up to them to wield their influence as to somehow combat the initial dispatch of such cargoes. There are no legal grounds to stop most such consignments when all of their documents are in order and indicating a destination somewhere outside Russia, and had the government started doing this than there would be upheaval that they are stifling Georgian transportation sector and being unfair to business. Don’t get me wrong there are endless other things to hold them accountable for but this isn’t it.
