NEXTA is a shitty source (ask any Belarussian who protested in 2020). This whole shtick is another GD’s attempt at portraying themselves as the only defenders of peace against the global war party, whatever the fuck that is, by sucking Putin’s dick off. Another stone thrown at Ukrainian authorities, which wouldn’t be that crucial, if it wasn’t targeted specifically to expand their idiotic narrative.

Ivanishvilli has no official role in Georgian governance and so this would be purely a mundane criminal justice matter if it were even actually real, right? Surely a threat to a private citizen is a serious thing, but for that threat to be coherently describable as a coup d’état the commitment of the current Georgian government to the constitution and democracy generally would need to be as bullshit as it seems to be.

Nexta is trash, I second that opinion. In Georgian I suggest reading Radio Tavisupleba, Voice of America and Publika. Of foreign media – Politico and BBC
