      China or Russia, were talking about a country whose GDP is orders of magnitude bigger than ours. What benefit there is flows disproportionately towards the bigger economy

      the only thing that comes to my mind when someone says “china” and “industrial” in the same sentence are liveleak factory gore videos

      also poorly localized products that give you the impression that the chinese consider everyone who doesn’t understand their runes subhuman

      so no thanks

      There are benefits for local companies and institutes, but the money they get is like 1/10-1/20 of what their partner from China gets. Anyway, still better than nothing.
