I am a 22 year old Turkish-Speaking Cypriot and honestly just so disappointed by the people who voted for this jack*ss just for the memes. I spent 2 hours just waiting to cross the border to go vote someone who I believed would’ve made or at least worked on making a real change. Don’t think I will ever go vote again after today tbh.
Fidias got elected because half of Cyprus didn’t go vote, But to be honest, even if more people would’ve voted, I know alot of people who would still vote for him, Just so they ”send a message”. Even though the guy is goody with no brain how to do politics, he still serves as a message that people would choose to vote for someone rediculus than have corrupted old people run the country to the ground .
that’s just my opinion… We’ll see what happens in the near future with him.
I mean you gotta admit that’s a new high score on the gaourotopouzometer, so at least something was achieved.
